Planted area : 10 Hectares

Locality : Bourgueil and Benais

Situation : On the hill, mid-slope and the higher part of the terrace.

Orientation : South, south west.

Altitude : 50 to 85 metres

Climate : Exceptional  weather since April promises a very good year. We are near the memorable years of 2003 and 2005. Harvesting starts on the 21st of September and finishes on the 3rd of October.

Soil : Sand, limestone clay and siliceous clay

Grape variety : 100 % cabernet franc (locally called «cabernet breton ») grafted on a 3309 and 101/14 stock.

Average age of vines : 25 years, density 5000 plants/hectare.

Yield : 54 hectolitres/hectare

Alcoolic degree : 12°7

Harvesting : Mechanical

Vinification :  100 % destemming without pressing.Vinification  in vats thermostatically controlled by internal heat exchangers at 22 – 25 °C. 12 day fermentation. Malolactic fermentation done immediately after draining and completed by the 15th of December

Maturing : Lightly filtered, matured traditionnally in barrels (1/2 hogshead of 600 litres) in our caves


Fruity wines with purple coloured robes. Perfumed aromas for the nose with delicate tannins and promising length for the mouth.
