Situation : South bank of the Loire river

Orientation : Nord-Sud 

Altitude  40 metres

Soil : Limestone clay and Siliceous clay

Climate : Exceptional  weather since April promises a very good millésime. We are near the memorable years of 2003 and 2005.

Grape variety : 100 % cabernet franc (locally called «Breton ») grafted on a 3309 stock and Fercal. Clone 214.

Average age of vines : 30 years, 5000 plants/hectare

Yield : 49 hectolitres/hectare

Alcoolic degree : 12°6.

Harvesting : Mechanical on the 3rd of Octobre.

Vinification : Destemming without pressing. Thermo regulated tanks with a floating lid. Classic vinification with maceration over about a two week period. Malolactic fermentation done immediately after draining.

Maturing : In tanks with a 3 month period in traditional Loire Valley barrels

Sommelier's advice :  This wine, tender and fruity, is particularly recommended for starters and barbecues. It will also go perfectly well with Loire river fish in melted butter sauce.
